ASRock has leaked two new upcoming variants of Ryzen processors; Ryzen 5 2600E and Ryzen 7 2700E 45W TDP processors.

These 2nd gen Ryzen CPUs are aimed at low power systems which are supposed to be small form factor or slim.

AMD’s   Ryzen 7 2700E 8 Core and Ryzen 5 2600E 6 Core 45W Low-Power CPUs

These are the two processors which will be initially added to the “E” lineup. They are the 8 core Ryzen 7 2700E and the 6 core Ryzen 5 2600E. The processors should compete with Intel Core “T” series processors which come in 35W designs and tuned down to 25W TDP. Both CPUs are similar to their 95W and 105W counterparts and the only difference in the specs will be the lower clock speeds and TDP.

The Ryzen 7 2700E.. 8 Cores and 45W TDP

The AMD Ryzen 7 2700E is the low power SKU of the current flagship Ryzen 7 2700X CPU. an 8 core, 16 thread chip with 16 MB of L3 cache and 4 MB of L2 cache. The “E” part is rated to run at 45W and since the TDP is lower, the clock speeds are also much lower with a base clock of 2.7 GHz which is 1.1 GHz lower than the Ryzen 7 2700X CPU. The boost clocks aren’t stated but we can see the pricing close to the 2700X.

The Ryzen 5 2600E.. 6 Cores and 45W TDP

The AMD Ryzen 5 2600E is the low power SKU of the Ryzen 5 2600X, which is the fastest 6 core processor in AMD’s Ryzen lineup. The Ryzen 5 2600E is a 6 core, 12 thread chip with 16 MB of L3 cache and 3 MB of L2 cache. The processor has a base clock of 3.1 GHz which is 400 MHz lower than the Ryzen 5 2600X.

Both CPUs were leaked by ASRock in the “CPU Support List”
